and male role models to have quality time in a secure, relaxing fun environment.

Events for fathers, male carers and their children together can be a stepping stone for fathers / male carers into a wider range of children's centre activities, including whole family experiences.

We offer access to training, further education, support, advise, information and signposting.

how to be a father
Spend as much time as you can with your children
Treat their mum with love and respect
know that men can be sensitive, and let your children see this
Housework is for dads too
Be a good example of what a life partner should be...for your sons and daughters
Be there physically and emotionally
Like daddy mushroom, enjoy being a fun guy!
Laugh and the kids laugh with you
Be prepared to be an embarrassment sometimes
Lead by example
Expect your children to do as you do, rather than as you say
Be firm when appropriate
Try to genuinely look at difficult situations through your child's eyes and perceptions
The best presents you can give your child are your love and interest
Do things with your children that they enjoy: have them join you in things you enjoy
Appreciate the importance of silence and beauty
