SaturDAD Hits London ! Monday 30th October 2006 Kim Parker - Childrens Service co-ordinator and Ian Parsons - SaturDAD co-ordinator received rapturous applause from delegates gathered at London's Hamilton House, following a presentation and question time of the SaturDAD project. A lot of interest was generated.
The conference billed as ' Working effectively with men in children's services: responding to the new policy programme' was run by Community Care in association with Fathers Direct, Nottingham Trent University (Mens Study Unit) and Lexis Nexis-Gatehouse. Over 100 delegates attended the conference watching various presentations and attending a variety of workshops. Our SaturDAD presentation was a late inclusion due to another speaker having withdrawn, but SaturDAD showed it was a worthy replacement. We look forward to future events.
Gunners at SaturDAD Arsenal Football School hits town with over 30 dads and children in attendance. There were silly games as well as serious skills learnt by all who attended. All involved felt the day had been a great success with all the children being presented with a certificate and an Arsenal water bottle.
